Simeon Ross has proven himself a tireless pop songwriter, having written and released more than 10 albums with various bands and solo projects including Red Autumn Fall, Charmer, Infighter, Shoot The Image, Uniter and currently under Simeon Ross (Solo). His recordings have dovetailed nicely with UK based bands and the rise of Canadian alternative pop allowing him to share the stage with Oasis, 54-40, The Watchmen, Secret Broadcast, The Pursuit Of Happiness, Peter Murphy, Fast Romantics, and Rob Dickinson (of The Catherine Wheel) among many others.
December 2008 brought about a chance online friendship with Boz Boorer, guitarist and co-writer with Morrissey. Also a renowned producer (Adam Ant, Cut Chemist, Kirsty MacColl), Boorer invited Ross to record his project, Shoot The Image, at his studio based in the Monchique mountains of Portugal during the summer of 2010.
The debut album from Shoot The Image, Cranes In The City, was self-released in 2011. Four official music video releases and tour dates in Canada and UK followed through to 2013. Critical acclaim was swift including Alan Cross calling them "slick, slinky coolness".
In 2013, after losing a key band member, the project was renamed Uniter followed by the debut self titled EP release in 2015. Multiple live shows and music videos followed.
2016 saw Ross disappear into his rehearsal space to concentrate on writing songs and to form a new film production company TBA (Official launch in the summer of 2017). A year of focused work resulted in sixty new demos scaled down to twenty new tracks ready for the studio. The Uniter studio project is now on a permanent hiatus while Ross concentrates on recording singles for his solo work. *Boz Boorer will be producing the Simeon Ross album in 2017!
Active band members are Simeon Ross (vocals/guitar/keyboards, David Porteous (Lead Guitar), Michael 'Mez' Dilauro (Bass), Heather Graham (Keyboards), and Gail Thompson (Drums). Currently based in Toronto, Canada.
